About the Author
I'm Scott Clark, after a circuitous path through academia I found my way to San Francisco as a software engineer. I co-founded SigOpt, a startup that helps people run better experiments, from A/B tests to tuning machine learning models to physical experiments. Before that, I worked at Yelp as an ad targeting engineer, using machine learning and mathemagics to improve ad quality. I also worked on building and fostering academic collaborations and outreach.
